KCWA’s Quarterly Field Reports are regular updates for participating landowners, residents, partners, and others connected to the Kula Fire Restoration Project.
These reports are part of our commitment to keeping the people whose lands make up this restoration landscape informed about what is happening across the watershed—not only on individual properties, but across the larger, interconnected project.
We share what has been accomplished, what we are learning from the land, what conditions we are watching, and what work is coming next.
Why we share quarterly field reports
Restoring a landscape across dozens of privately owned properties requires more than fieldwork. It requires consistent communication.
Conditions change. Plants regrow. Fences go up. Restoration areas expand. Funding and project timelines shift. New challenges emerge. And work happening on one property often affects what becomes possible on the properties around it.
Our Quarterly Field Reports give landowners and partners a regular view across the entire project so everyone can better understand how individual properties fit into the larger restoration effort.
Each report generally includes:
Work completed during the previous quarter
Current project areas and field conditions
Invasive species and fuels-management progress
Fencing and ungulate-management updates
Native propagation and restoration progress
Erosion-control and watershed-protection work
Monitoring and observations from the field
Upcoming priorities and anticipated work
Questions and discussion with participating landowners and partners
